Your Muse is a small, South African business run by me, Heidi Rolfe. I respect your privacy and only collect what I need to pack and send your Art Boxes, run my workshops and keep in touch with you. This policy explains what I collect, why, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What I collect
- Order details – your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, plus what you ordered.
- Messages – anything you send me through the contact form or by email.
- Newsletter – your email address, if you sign up to “Stay in the loop”.
- Website data – basic technical information (such as your browser and pages visited) collected through cookies, including the Meta (Facebook) pixel, which helps me understand how people find Your Muse and show relevant adverts.
Payments
Single orders are paid through PayFast and subscriptions through Paystack. You enter your card or banking details directly on their secure pages – I never see or store your card details.
How I use your information
- To process, pack and deliver your order and to contact you about it.
- To manage your subscription, including reminders before payments.
- To reply to your questions and workshop bookings.
- To send you my newsletter, if you asked for it – you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To improve my website and adverts.
Who I share it with
I only share your information with the services that help me run Your Muse: my payment providers (PayFast and Paystack), the courier delivering your box, my website and email host (Xneelo, in South Africa) and Meta for website analytics and advertising. I never sell your personal information.
How long I keep it
I keep order records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes, and other information only for as long as I need it for the reasons above.
Your rights
You may ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to me using it for marketing. Just email me at heidi@yourmuse.co.za. If you are unhappy with how I handle your information, you may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
Cookies
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. Some are needed for the shop and cart to work; others (like the Meta pixel) help with analytics and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
